COURSES

MWFA will again organise FREE Community Coaches Courses for registered MWFA Coaches in 2024. Follow this link to view the Coach Development Calendar and click on the link in each event to register

Courses on offer include: FREE MiniRoos Parent Referee Courses and Community Coaching Courses:

  • MiniRoos Certificate (U6-U11) – where the emphasis is on natural development, fun exercises, and basic rules of the game
  • Skill Training Certificate (U8-U13) – the Skill Acquisition Phase – focussing on technical skills, session planning, coaching methodology, and match day coaching
  • Game Training Certificate (U14s+) – the Game Training Phase – developing player tactical awareness and decision making,  session planning, coaching methodology, and match day coaching

We encourage all Junior and Youth Coaches to attend these sessions to develop and brush up on their skills to create a fun and safe training environment for our players.

Brookvale FC encourages all coaches to adhere to the principles of fair play and equitable rotation. Please remember that player development and enjoyment is more important than winning and that you are a role model for the players, so don’t question or challenge a referee’s decision

CHILDREN – 32° : activity should be cancelled when ambient air temperature reaches 32°

ADULTS – 37° : activity should be cancelled when ambient air temperature reaches 37°

We also follow the FNSW and MWFA guidelines regarding air quality as we have a duty of care and the safety and welfare of our players is our priority.
