Brookvale FC is delighted to announce our FUTURO VELOCE Program. This player development program will run each season and focus on the development of our most promising players from our Junior ranks.

These focussed sessions have been designed and will be run by Ivan Jolic, former Matilda’s Assistant Coach and current China Women’s Assistant Coach, to focus on technical and tactical aspects of the game as well as personal preparation.

Sponsored by Brookvale FC, FUTURO VELOCE 2024 will run over three consecutive weeks before school and starting on 13 August, 2024. This short three session program will help us to fine tune an extended program in 2025 when we are planning a more extensive program across the season.

The program will be limited to not more than thirty selected players each year, to ensure individual care and focused guidance for our most promising players.

Fantastic achievement – The Brookie future is bright

Last week our President, Sam Mesite, attended the Lifeline Breakfast in support of Men’s Mental Health on the Northern Beaches.

As you know, Lifeline are invaluable in helping people through crisis situations and truly “make a difference every day”. Attached is the Northern Beaches Men’s Group Directory for those in need

Most parents would have already noticed that the Active Kids Voucher was reduced from $100 to $50 in July, but as of 1 February 2024, only families who receive Family Tax Benefit A will continue to be able to access the vouchers.

Hopefully this will not impact our Brookvale FC families too much!

Sadly the 2023 season is coming to an end, but we hope everyone had a great season and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

8:45am – U6 & U7 teams presentation

9:45am – U8 & U9 teams presentation

10:45am – U10 & U11 team presentation

Coaches & Managers : please gather your team on the grass section in front of the amenities block – team managers will be called up to receive the medals for their teams. Please take your players to the side to present the medals to them individually and they can then show the medal at Canteen for a free sausage sandwich and a drink

Gear Return – all teams are to return the following items on the day in the coloured bags given to each team at the start of the year.

Please do not return: whistles, unnumbered shirts, socks & shorts (unless unused and in original packaging/ with tag), size 3 balls

U6s & U7s: bibs & cones. U6 & U7 players can keep their size 3 balls

U8 to U11 (mixed and girls): bibs & cones, training and match balls, GK jerseys

U12s up: all numbered playing shirts, GK jerseys, bibs, cones, medical kits,, training & match balls

You might have heard there are discussions about keeping the Active Kids Voucher (AKV) program.

The MWFA CEO – David Mason – has met with four of our NSW Government Members of Parliament (Michael Regan, Matt Cross, Rory Amon and James Griffin) who are supportive and have encouraged all clubs to take part in the petition to keep the AKV so please take a few moments to sign
